How To Stay Fabulous During 1L Year: Crunchtime Beauty Tips
So, you keep hearing that 1L year is perhaps the most stressful time of you law school career. You’re making sacrifices left and right. Missing grandpa’s birthday, Thanksgiving with the family, social events, dates, etc., but why should you have to sacrifice looking good and still doing well in law school? Here are 3 quick and efficient tips that will help you stay in control of your beauty regime so you can still get those A+’s while still looking fab!
Instant Make-up
Moisturize!
Moisturize! Moisturize!
You’re dehydrated, exhausted, and most
likely sleep-deprived, but your skin doesn’t have to be.
Tip 1:
Facial Moisturizer- the secret to glowing skin is what’s underneath.
Lancome makes an excellent
night crème which you can lather on the night before to rejuvenate parched skin
from all those late night study sesh’s.
Fake it ‘til you
make it.
You’ve been up reading all night. Perhaps
you hit up Del Taco late last night for a midnight snack to keep you going
during your studies.
Tip 2: Apply
foundation or better yet, a tinted moisturizer for extra glow and moisture.
Keep things minimal- the last thing you want to look like after an all-nighter
is cake-faced.
Makeup Forever makes an
excellent water-based foundation which not only moisturizes, but evens out
skin-tone.
Looking
bright-eyed and beautiful.
We’ve all dealt with bags under our eyes
from lack of sleep or staring at a computer screen for hours on end. Now, it’s
time to make those bags disappear.
Tip 3: Stick
two spoons in the freezer over night. Before applying your eye makeup, take the
frozen spoons and apply them under your eyes. The cold from the spoons will
help to reduce inflammation and make your eyes seem less puffy. Add mascara
with some inner eyeliner and you’re ready to go!
Tip: Revlon makes a great
mascara that won’t run and an eyeliner that won’t smear when you’re taking
those studying break naps!
Law school can be a hectic
time, where sacrifices will need to be made, but beauty doesn’t have to be one
of them! Happy studying!
