TOP TEN THINGS THEY SHOULD TELL YOU BEFORE YOU GET TO LAW SCHOOL

1.      If you aren’t a coffee addict now, you will be. My roommate broke the record for our apartment with 7 cups in one day. #heartpalpitations.
2.       I learned about 3 weeks into school there’s a lovely thing called casebriefs.com. Thanks for the heads up 2L’s.
3.      The country “Iraq” has nothing to do with case briefing.
4.      And “bar review” has nothing to do with the exam. The resulting Friday hangovers really show Civ Pro who’s boss.
5.      When you arrive you may think, “People are attractive AND smart here?” I’ve found the Mecca of potential husbands.
6.      Two weeks in, “everyone is married. How did this happen, everyone was single in college.”
7.      It’s a good idea to date the attractive person in your section or apartment complex. (Note: law students are excessively sarcastic.)
8.      Law school will feel like high school round two.
9.      As far as academics go-Invest in highlighters now. Multiple colors. And Practice Tests, practice tests, practice tests.
10.     It’s not as bad as you think. You can have a life, at least the first half of the semester that is.
