The 5 things they don't tell you about Law School

In Law school Most people you meet will have an exaggerated sense of self. Which is not too uncommon to those who save to world. Superman, batman, especially iron man all shared this exaggerated sense of self; must come with the territory. Jesus seems to be the anomaly, I guess that’s why he is so cool.

Those not in the legal profession are referred to as Laypersons which is defined as a person not in a given profession… but still..… Laypersons. My loving mother was recently demoted from mother to layperson. Calling your Mother “Layperson” does not inspire her to make your favorite home cooked meal. Lesson Learned.

Avoid all conversations with a family member who has been in the legal profession for a while. They will most assuredly have a certain proclivity to prove how little you know and how much they do. This is an exercise that is very pleasing to them but very damaging to you. Again I say avoid….. AT ALL COSTS.

You are not actually qualified, to voice legal opinions on the injustices happening in the world, your families legal issues,or any legal issues your friends might be encountering. You will be very pleased when  asked and out of gratitude will want to voice your legal opinions that display in all of its splendor your new found legal wisdom. For the sake of all you must resist this temptation. Heed these words and you will come to see its wisdom in due time.

There are those who have recently finished Law school who are currently back living at home with no money and job. DO not worry, they are the anomaly(I pray). This is an aberration and not reflective of what will happen to you. To ensure I am wrong, get off of this blog and go back to studying. Your dream house and Mercedes Benz awaits.
